Making of the 2nd cake and building of the arcade cabinet!
Tue, Mar 4, 2008: On the 23rd of February, 2008, another moist dark chocolate cake was prepared by Saba. The icing was prepared with vanilla and chocolate shreddings.
Umer also worked on his arcade cabinet.
My Arcade Cabinet is ready!
Tue, Mar 4, 2008: My MAME arcade cabinet is ready. This is what I used:
An old used Hybrid arcade cabinet.
A picture tube from an old 25 inch TV along with circuit to do settings (V-Hold, Brightness etc.)
An old Compaq P-II 366MHz with 128MB RAM, the usual Motherboard with sound and VGA built in, an old Maxtor 4GB HDD
An older version of ArcadeOS along with DOS 7
Specially designed switch circuits and fingerboard.
New micro switch buttons (4 directional, 4 action buttons, 1 start) for each of the 2 players.
A microswitch for the coin machine.
100 coins
A couple of drawer locks for coin collecting cabinet and joystick base.
A lot of duct tape.
200 or so arcade games including SF2, Outrun, Shinobi, Shadow Dancer , KOF, Pang, Pac Man etc.

Umer and Saba attend Zain`s sister wedding
Sat, Feb 2, 2008: Umer and Saba attended the wedding of Zain`s sister. Zain is a friend of Umer from college. The wedding was held at the Taj and Defence club in Lahore. Umer and Saba both had great fun at the wedding!

Sat, Dec 29, 2007: Umer and Saba attended the wedding of Laila`s sister. Laila is a friend of Saba from college. The wedding was held at Pearl Continental Hotel in Lahore. Umer also found a long lost friend from the days of Expert Systems, Umar Salman. Umer had a fun time talking about the good old days!
